Bill Ellis | Jindabyne Office

Founder of the Group with over 40 years of experience

Bill has worked for most of the Big Five firms over his career.  He has checked off income tax returns for Coles Myer and BHP saving the groups millions of dollars in tax and cashflow advantages.

Now days he concentrates on small business - However he still possesses the ability to think outside the square of normal accountancy and tax planning.  He is constantly challenging the boundaries surrounding the tax laws.  Over the years Bill has also provided specialised tax and structural advise to the Medical Professional - including doctors, dentists and vets.

Over the years, Bill has had some famous victories over the ATO on taxation laws and has the claim to fame of being yet to lose a case.  Bill's  focus in the firm at present is on Estate Planning and Succession Planning for all clients, he is a Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor.  Bill resides at Jindabyne and is devoted to his farm, horses and loves challenging himself in adventure pursuits with his daughter Rhiannon.

Nic Ellis | Newcastle Office

Principal of the Group

Nic is highly experienced in the area of tax planning for small businesses, asset protection restructuring and succession planning and estate planning techniques.

Nic's qualifications and memberships include Professional National Accountant (PNS), he holds a BA Comm and Dip FP., he is a Registered Tax Agent, practising member of SPAA (Self Managed Superannuation Fund Professional Association of Australia) and is a Sub Authorised Representative of Professional Investment Services Australian and is a registered life broker and authorised Business Broker.

Nic is the driving force behind 2020 Financial Solutions and is continually striving to find new and unique strategies to save clients tax and create wealth for them.

Nic's interests outside of business include coaching his daughters' netball teams, his team of Qld race horses and travelling the countryside on his BMW adventure bike. Nic lives in Newcastle and travels extensively to other office locations and regionally, to service 2020 clients.

Thor is in charge of business development for 2020 Financials Solutions.With a brief to grow the business to business client base, Thor's focus is to deliver a unique package of professional services to various clients.  Thor has had many years of experience in management and sales and with this he brings fresh and new ideas to the development of the business.  Thor is a very customer focused individual who endeavours to help all of our clients and prospects reach their short term and long terms goals and forge a long term relationship with 2020 Financial Solutions.

Shane has over 20 years experience as an accountant.  Shane's knowledge of tax is significant and he will be managing the firms tax and business unit with a brief for his team to provide client service with a sense of urgency - coupled with the best compliance and tax benefits for our clients. Leah Stevens | Newcastle Office

Licenced Conveyancer

Leah Stevens has over 15 years experience in the conveyancing industry and has a wealth of experience in all areas relating to the legal side of buying and selling properties.

Originally, from South Australia, Leah arrived in Newcastle in 2002 with her husband and has spent the last eight years working as a Licensed Conveyancer for one of the area’s larger law firms.  Leah has worked in various aspects of conveyancing from guiding first home buyers through the maze of home ownership to working for high-end property developers with large-scale subdivisions all over New South Wales.

Now, as Licensee in Charge of 2020 Conveyancing Pty Ltd, she is also able to provide a specialised conveyancing service to 2020’s SMSF clients.  Leah’s personal, friendly service and attention to detail ensure that her clients are well looked after.
